What is DD11 Steel?

DD11 belongs to stamping and cold forming steel. it is one of a series of grades produced to display excellent direct cold forming characteristics and high strength levels. DD11 steel grade is unalloyed and particularly useful in applications requiring edging and complex, narrow shapes but it is also often specified for projects incorporating non structural press work.

Welding: using most common conventional methods; this steel can be welded with ease, without the need for preheating beforehand.

Forming: DD11 grade is especially suited to bending and deep drawing. It is noted for its outstanding formability.
