Features of Fe 360 A Plate
Do you know Fe 360 A Fe 360 A plate. Below is the features of Fe 360 A plate.
Fe 360 A steel is a structural steel for structural applications. Fe 360 A plate is a material grade and designation defined in ISO 630 standard. ISO 630 is an international material standard for billet steel for general structural usage. Fe-310 steel is having lower strength than Fe 360 A grade.
Chemistry of Fe 360 A Plates(%):
C: 0.017 max.
P: 0.045 max
S: 0.045 max.
N: 0.009 max.
Remaining is iron (Fe) percentage and with few negligible impurities.
The applicable thickness for Fe 360 A plate as defined in the ISO 3601 starts from 10 mm to 200 mm.
Why is Max % Alloying material different with chemical composition? % Alloying material only represents the percentage of alloying elements & not the base metal i.e. Iron (Fe).
Mechanical Properties of Fe 360 A Plates:
The tensile strength of the Fe-360 A Steel is expressed in Newton per millimeters and it must be at-least 360MPa and maximum can be 460MPa. The yield strength is minimum 235MPa for Fe 360 A plate thickness less than 10 mm, 225 MPa for 16 mm to 40 mm, 215MPa for 40mm to 60mm and 185MPa for 150mm to 200mm. The minimum percentage ranges for elongation is 21% thicknesses.
