JIS G4304 / G4312 SUS 316LN Stainless Steel Composition & Nitrogen‑Enhanced Austenitic Properties

SUS 316LN is a nitrogen‑enhanced, low‑carbon austenitic stainless steel defined in JIS G4304 / G4312. With added nitrogen, it provides higher yield strength, improved pitting resistance, and enhanced weld stability compared with SUS 316L. 316LN maintains excellent corrosion resistance after welding and is suitable for pressure vessels, storage tanks, hygienic systems, cryogenic equipment, and marine engineering. SUS 316LN is supplied as sheets, plates, strips, tubes, and bars. As a strengthened version of 316L, it offers superior mechanical performance and corrosion resistance for demanding industrial environments.
