00Cr17Ni12Mo2N is a low‑carbon, nitrogen‑alloyed austenitic stainless steel specified in GB/T 4237 and GB/T 4238. Based on a 316L‑type composition, the addition of nitrogen increases yield strength, improves pitting resistance, and enhances microstructural stability.

The grade is suitable for seawater systems, chemical plants, cryogenic equipment, pressure vessels, and high‑purity fluid handling systems. Compared with conventional 316L materials, it offers improved mechanical performance and better resistance to localized corrosion.
