SUS316 Cold Rolled Stainless Steel Sheets to JIS G4305
SUS316 stainless steel plates and sheets is supplied in cold rolled. SUS 316 cold rolled stainless steel is an austenitic chromium nickel stainless steel. JIS G4305 SUS316 stainless steel sheet is used for weldments, fasteners operating in media to high aggressive substances, intended for long service at 600°C. Corrosion-resistant austenitic steel.
SUS316 cold rolled stainless steel sheets contain molybdenum which increases its general corrosion resistance as well as the mechanical properties at elevated temperatures. The properties of SUS316are similar to type 304, however 316 is stronger at elevated temperatures amd also corrosion resistance is improved particularly against sulphates, phosphates and other salts as well as reducing acids such as sulphuric, sulphurous and phosphoric. SUS316L is an extra low carbon version of type 316.
